Los Alcázares

Los Alcázares, from the Arabic Al-Ksar, is a small, but expanding coastal spa town and former fishing village on the western side of the Mar Menor

Without any doubt, main attraction of Los Alcázares is the beach as well as all facilities and a Marine Resort to practice all kind of nautical and water sports in Mar Menor;  sailing, windsurf y kitesurf, available all year-round thanks to the warm temperatures.

You can also find La Encarnación Spa Resort (1904), which conserves the character of old, turn-of-the-century spa centres and as well famous for their therapeutic qualities. Close to Los Alcázares you can find different towns such as Los Narejos, Lo Pagán and La Ribera. Los Narejos’s beach is very well known for its therapeutical muds with a high iodine concentration. Las Palmeras is another beach in the area where flocks of migrating birds can be seen in in Spring and Autumn.
